In October 2018 it was a pleasure to welcome delegates from Nepal to Geneva for the CEDAW country dialogue. September 2018, Kowani Indonesian Women’s Conference, Yogyakarta, Indonesia

Invited to give a presentation on violence against women to a gathering of representatives from over 1000 local women’s NGOs as well as an international audience and urged women to use their privilege and power to bring about social change.

Mohinder Watson presented Action on Child, Early and Forced Marriage’s report “Millions of Child widows, forgotten, invisible and vulnerable” at a briefing with CEDAW committee members on 16th July 2018 to highlight the plight of child widows, a neglected group of over a million children who suffer the triple advantages of being female, immature and a widow.
